So Friday I went on my walk with the purpose to find that other church I hinted at. Being Friday, it's double duty for moi: work one job and off to the 2nd one afterwards. Sorry, I didn't feel like logging in and posting my post, hence why I'm doing it now. And you may ask yourself, well why so late? Family get together. This is my first opportunity to do my post.
Anywho,
Saint George Orthodox Church:
The details on this building are fantastic. While I don't remember seeing any Orthodox churches in the parts of Europe I've visited, the building is reminiscent of them.
Another pic of the front
I walked up to the front of it, was impressed with some of the grandeur, the wrought iron lamp, etc.
Ah, well, full disclosure. I can respect that and the potential to go in through an alternate means.
As I made my way to the side of the building, they had a window with a display of the interior.
I round the bend and there's this placard. Pretty cool
I've a love for old churches, with their stained glass, intricate detail and the such. Thanks for putting up with my fascination.
