First off how awesome of a name is that! Just the combination of both together makes it sooo much better! I wish I could claim I liked him before he was famous, aka before Sherlock (especially since I love the UK TV scene, especially BBC shows!) but alas I can't! Acutually I nearly didn't watch Sherlock (I had no idea it was on until I noticed all the commotion on my flist AFTER A study in Pink had aired!), and finally decided to give it a go after realizing that my two favourite Doctor Who people Stephen Moffatt and Mark Gattiss were producing it, plus the added bonus that Martin Freeman was in it (I've loved him ever since Hitchhikers!)
But anyway.. aside from that...
1) After watching Sherlock and The Last Enemy.. I've thought of him as a serious actor... I've just watched the latest Have I got New For you which he guest host.... wow.. I didn't realize that he's got great comic timing too! And now that I've heard Cabin Pressure too... Another tick to you Mr Cumberbatch... You've certainly peaked my interest, and I'm looking forward to more of his work!
2) Sherlock's on in Australia! Yay.. although the advertising for it is terrible! I saw the trailer on Channel 9, and wow.. I was completely underwhelmed... jumpy, bits and peices use of boring bits... nothing dramatic or exciting.. and on top of that, after seeing all the kerfuffle in the UK about it and the fact that it got 7million viewers.. not a single article promoting Sherlock on TV! Although too be fair there was a little bit of a positive review right on the top of the Monday (ep2) in the Herald Sun TV guide.. but you wouldn't have known if you weren't looking for it... Hopefully people tune in so we get the second season down under too
3) Yay I got to play with an ipad! Just a loaner to 'learn how to use the ipad" it is indeed fun and convienient but I'm not sure whether it'll be worth getting one myself since I already have a laptop :p
