Sad Day :( - RIP Caitlyn Ogden
I'm in shock. I just found out the goalie on my hockey team has just died. She was 20.
I have played with her since we were both kids. Her mum has previously been my coach and was one of the ladies who helped me when I first moved from Junior to Senior hockey. Her brother coaches one of the womens teams. Her family is a fixture at our club. I feel so sorry for them. I really just can't believe its true.
Caitlyn just had this stunning vibrant personality and you could always hear her yelling orders to the whole team from the back line. She managed to injure her shoulder two games ago and was all set to be back with us this week.
I missed hockey training last night as I was feeling lazy and now I am so sad and kicking myself that I didn't go. It looks like she probably died from an anurism, which I just find even more sad/scary. I just don't expect 20 yr olds to just die.
