Most Awesomest Story I Have From The Past Few Days

So, for the longest time, it's been internally bothering me that there were two paperback versions of the British children's set of Harry Potter books. One has Dumbledore on the back (I've had this version for the past nine years); the other, others believe and I can't disagree, has Nicholas Flamel (potentially...we can't figure it out!). And this summer, I've become increasingly obsessed with the library. In fact, as of right now, I believe I have something like eighteen things checked out from the library...with four things on their way to me. Anyway, at my library, they have this "Everlasting Book Sale" which basically consists of all the books they can't seem to sell at the normal monthly book sale (of which I am a particularly big fan). Crap books. Well, mostly.

Yesterday, I was browsing through the books there and came across the "Nicholas Flamel" version. Unfortunately, I probably had thirteen cents with me, and that, surprisingly, doesn't cover the price of a book at the library. So, I sort of hid it from plain sight (not that anyone really ever looks at those books, just poor college grads whose pay day is the very next day), thinking that if it was still there today, it meant that I was meant to have that book. It was fate, and nothing can override fate.

So, guess what I got for thirty cents today. Oh, yes, the book (which still needs to be entered into my catalog of books) is mine! (Yes, I keep a catalog...it helps me remember what books I own without having to go through all my books all the time.)

The other thing I did was rearrange all my books again. This was probably the second major move and the fifth or sixth since I've been home from Miami. It took...it took an extremely long time. Removing nearly 256 books from my shelves, sorting through them, deciding which ones go where, and then executing my plan is hard work. Now, unfortunately, if I buy pretty much any other book by an author I really like and whose work I have shelved all together, I'm screwed. It happens.

Kay, must go either work on my 21st book of the summer (the end of August deadline is coming fast, though I did meet my original quota) or move my laundry along. Which do *you* think I'm gonna do?

End Transmission.
