I always hold tension in my body in the same place: beneath my shoulder blades.
The muscles tangle and twist and tighten.
It hurts.
No matter what sort of activity, no matter how passive or lazy the day was, or how intense and aerobic, the same tension in the same place.
"Must be where your wings used to be" a friend said to me.
I do not hate the pain any longer.
