Upcoming DVDs
Decided to check to see if some of the collection/box sets I've been waiting for are finally coming out... to my surprise, yes... quite a few are over the next month or so.
November 23rd
Harry Potter - Years 1-3 Collection (Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone/Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets/Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban) (6-Disc DVD Set) (Widescreen Edition) - We have the first two on DVD, but the first movie we bought used and its not in the best condition. Probably will get this box set to keep them all in one nice neat package.
November 30th
Hero - Awesome movie, visually stunning... can't wait to get a copy.
Spider-Man / Spider-Man 2 (Widescreen Special Editions) - Been holding off on getting the first one (much like I did with X-Men/X2) so that I could get them both in a box set (although both Spiderman and X-Men are both going to have third films).
December 7th
The Bourne Supremacy (Widescreen Edition) - I really liked both of these films, have the first one on DVD and will definetely pick up this one as well.
The Ultimate Matrix Collection (The Matrix / Reloaded / Revolutions / Revisited / The Animatrix) - They're finally releasing a box set for this series. I've been holding off since I found out that they were making more than one film. Will definetely be picking this up.
Babylon 5 Crusade - The Complete Series - The very short-lived spin off of B5, had potential but overall didn't pan out well enough to keep it on the air. I'll pick it up eventually.
Gargoyles - The Complete First Season (Special 10th Anniversary Edition) - Great animated series... may have to actually pick this up.
December 14th
The Lord of the Rings - The Motion Picture Trilogy (Special Extended DVD Edition) - This appears to be all the Special Extended Editions put into one convient package. I probably won't get this since I'm pleased with the ones I have already, but it looks like a good buy for those who don't have the first two movies yet.
The Lord of the Rings - The Return of the King (Platinum Series Special Extended Edition) - This is the one I've been waiting for, can't wait to get it.
I, Robot (Widescreen Edition) - Surprisingly I really liked this when I saw it in the theater, but with all the other movies coming out I don't know if I'll get it right away.
Collateral (Widescreen Two-Disc Edition) - Haven't actually seen this yet, but I'm a big fan of Michael Mann films and have heard nothing but good things about it. Plan to buy, maybe not right away though.

Shaun of the Dead - I missed it in the theaters, but know from what I've heard from those who saw it that I'll like it.
December 28th
Battlestar Galactica (2003 Miniseries) - I'm looking forward to the series on SciFi Channel in January. This mini-series was actually very very well done. I honestly like it much more than the original series (too much cheeze there).
January 4th
Troy (Two-Disc Widescreen Edition) - This was surprisingly good when I saw it in the theater.
