I hope all of you are having great holidays. I know the past few months have been difficult for a few of us, but just all hang in there! A new year is coming, and even though we don't know what it reserves us, we can sure try to make the best out of it. I, for one hand, will be making some drastic changes. A few events lately (as being unexpectedly unemployed at a very inconvenient time of year) in my life have forced me wake up, and actually do something.
First, I'm going back to school. Way it works here, I'll be doing two years of Science courses, paired with what I have left of 'basic' courses from my previous schooling. It will open a whole lot of doors and opportunities for me, and after those two years, I will need to make the decision of going into either something electronic related, or health. I have a feeling I'll be going into health, it just feels right and it has always been in the back of my mind. Always. But then, I have two years to decide, and at least while I work through 'crappy jobs', I'll at least feel I'm going forward. It's never too late to take a big turn!
My boyfriend was a sweetheart, and although we (especially I) are broke, he got me a few awesome, thoughtful gifts. A few useful tools for electronic repairs. He knows me well, knows my current favourite hobby. And, I guess that means he is supporting me there. Especially knowing it will help support me throughout school, for a large part.
I will adopt a budget, and will eat better. I will look into doing something good. It is probably the first time I make resolutions, and actually mean them.
And, unrelated, a 'Christmas' (just an excuse because I felt like it!) picspam of my favourite host of all time, George Stroumboulopoulos. There is nothing holiday related in these pictures ;)
Also, has anyone noticed how yummy George Stroumboulopoulos is? I'm not catching him up live anymore since I cancelled my cable (and yes, sadly, HD quality George as well) and also due to time. And yes, before, 11 pm was too late for me, and now 7 pm is too early, 11 would be perfect. Oh well. But fortunately, CBC allows me to stream a lot of episodes, and I've been rewatching some eps of The Hour from 2009-2010. First thing I've noticed is the change. For one he's wearing a lot of color (and well-fitted, awesome clothes, as my boyfriend mentioned once) and he has lost some weight. Behold the difference.
The Hour era.
2012 photo (do I need to mention that a beard suits him more than well hello you...) Even with a beard you can see the difference in his jawline. With time you don't really notice it until you actually go back and check the difference. Anyway, hot then, hot now.
And another. Some men justpull off that look perfectly.
Also, bonus George with a cat!
