Then realling about all the complications that could arise, even when vampires weren't involved.

And reaaaally wishing she could actually have a drink right now.

Parker was on her way back from Caritas, and couldn't help wondering how Callisto was doing. It'd been a while since she'd seen her; and hey, maybe Logan's misfortunes would give her a laugh.

She knocked on the door, and softly asked, "Cal? You still up?"

Distracted by flailing at a section on ectopic pregnancies, Callisto called out. "Yeah, Parker."

Parker shut the door behind her as she came in, then took a seat on the bed, raising an eyebrow as she watched Callisto surf the web. "Looking for more class ideas? Or researching ways to storm Thrace or thwap Angel long-distance? I have Logan news that might cheer you up, if you need it."

"Nothing important," Callisto lied. "Unless he decided to hook up with a showgirl I don't really want to hear it."

Parker looked dubious, and strolled over to the computer, trying to see what Cal's reading. "Really? And sadly, no. They had to delay that at least another week, because Isabel is visiting this weekend."

"Not like Logan has to be around everytime Angel has visitors." Callisto wondered if there was a way to hide what she was looking at without looking like she was hiding it.

Parker blinked at the site and said, "Euuuuwwww. Okay. Way to give me nightmares. Why the hell are you looking at Ways Babies Go Wrong?"

"No reason," Callisto replied. "Just because."

Parker gave her a Look. "No, seriously. You want to never sleep again? 'Cause this, with -- is that ectoplasm? -- this is just disturbing." She paused. "No way."

Callisto's eye started twiching and she unconsciously rubbed her belly. "At least they don't have three heads."

Parker's eyes got even bigger. "Who the hell did you have sex with? Because I could've sworn you were being grumpy and chaste since Wings...." Her voice petered out. Then she made a noise very like "meep!" and shook her head, looking stunned.

Callisto blinked. "Parker?"

Parker gulped. "Okay. Back to the original question. Because I *know* Wings can't be the father. Nope. Nope. So." She tried to get it together to be a supportive friend, and ended up just rubbing her temples. "Right. Never mind, don't wanna know that bad, um, are you okay?" Yes! Finally, the right question!

"I haven't," Callisto said. "He is."

Parker tried to sit down on the bed, missed, and ended up on her ass on the floor. "Ow." Then she took a deep breath. "How?"

Callisto raised an eyebrow. "Well, Parker, when a warrior and a doofy vampire like each other very much..."
