Room 306, Tuesday Evening

Jan 04, 2006 11:23

Callisto sat on her bed reading the book Vala gave her for Solstice. It was interesting but not so gripping she couldn't be distracted from it.

The door was unlocked and propped open a little.

[ooc: Primarily for bridge_carson, but anyone who knows Cal is welcome to drop in.]

Bridge wanders up to Callisto's room, a package carried under his arm.

"Hey, Cal?" he asks, knocking on the door before peeking in.

"What the ancients called a clever fighter is one who not only wins, but excels in winning with ease," Callisto looked up and grinned. "Hey, Bridge. Come on in."

"I was beginning to think you'd forgotten about this," Bridge smiles, waving the package around. He then eyes the room critically, "although with the amount of security you've got in here already, I can see why it might have..."

"The lock," Callisto facepalmed. "I did mean to pick it up, it's just well, life kinda got in the way. And you can never have too much security."

"Yep, life'll do that. Stupid life, except not really because without life we wouldn't be alive and I'm actually kind of fond of being alive..." Bridge trails off. "Er, so, want me to install this on the door, then?"

"Yeah, that would be great," Callisto smiled. "Oh, how much do I owe you guys for it?"

"Oh, you know, whatever," Bridge says, waving a hand vaguely and handing a piece of paper to Callisto. "Anders and Cally worked it out, so um, whatever it says on here, I guess."

Bridge then pulls several tools out of various pockets and sets to work unscrewing the old lock from the door.

"Cool," Callisto glanced at the figure written on the paper, then walked over to her secure weapons cabinet to get the money out. "So you have a good break?"

"Yup," Bridge chirps as he starts putting in the electronic lock. Then he makes a face, "and now I've gotta start thinking about what classes I wanna take for next semester. Gah."

Poking at the keypad, he grins when it lights up properly. "Okay, all done. Now all you need to do is choose your access code- three digits. If you want anyone else to have access to your room, you'll have to give them a seperate code of their own. Any unauthorised attempts to open the door will result in that person being sent to Locker 327. Oh, and uhm, for your code? Don't choose 616."

"Whatever you chose, I'd suggest staying away from Journalism, I don't think you'd like the new professor," Callisto held her hand over the keypad, then looked at Bridge with a trace of mild suspicion. "Why not 616?"

"What is it with that class and scary teachers?" Bridge ponders. "And um, it's sort of... already assigned to something. Kinda."

"Less scary and more irritating bitch," Callisto muttered. "Assigned to what, Bridgey?"

Bridge snickers as he deciphers Callisto's mutterings. "Uh, well, try it and see..." he says, absolutely not bouncing up and down, even a little.

"If this is some kind of prank," Callisto warned, not very seriously. Her fingers tapped out the code.

Bridge places a hand under the lock as several jellybeans come pouring out of it.

"Here, try 'em," he grins, handing Callisto the candy.

"Candy," Callisto grinned and shook her head, but she still tried the jellybeans. "They're good. Y'know you should probably take music this term, I think you and Professor Ted would get along famously."
