As I Sit Here............
.....eating my bowl of Polish comfort food (saurkraut, green beans, mashed potatoes, cucumbers and sour cream), I am realizing that I really need to get off of my ass and contact loan officers about getting money to start my dream of owning my own cafe/bakery. I've been thinking alot about the place that I used to work at, (not to be mentioned cause his ego wouldn't even FIT on this page) and realized that I just have to take the chance and JUST DO IT! A lady that used to come there when I worked contacted me where I am now and I make her what she wants, and then just have her buy the ingredients, and she gives me a nice payment (price of food plus a little extra). I've been really busy from word of mouth but I need to go further then that. Already today I have made a vegetarian chili (and no, it is not just beans and tomatoes that simmer forever with no seasoning), salsa, homeade seasoned tortilla chips, Crab/Shrimp potato nests with a lemon wine cream sauce (brunch menu item) and Sourdough Olive bread. Mikey is supposed to be coming up along with Steve-O (I think they called him that LONG before the other guy from Jackass) and Jasmine (don't quote me on that, I think that is what I heard). I haven't seen him in FOREVER, so it will be exciting!! But I don't know that I'm gonna be able to go to the release party. Rob has the pager, so he can't go, so that means we will have no one to watch the kids. At any rate, I have dishes, laundry and kids calling my name........
