Back from Outer Space -Kinda-
Well, I shudder at the thought I've dropped off the earth for three months, but I have. I'm also feeling the pressure of not having taken a vacation since my sick leave... (that would be almost 5 months). Lots has happened in the last few months, so I'll just gloss over a bit for those who are interested.
I got my job at the state psychiatric hospital in NH - AND I LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!! It's everything I thought psych nursing was supposed to be and I'm really feeling like I might actually have a clue what I'm doing now. It's nice.
My dad's mother died the week before christmas. she was 96. Her birthday would have been this coming april 1st.
Cassie - my future sister in law - is due to have her baby any time during the middle of April. She's high risk, so really, it could be any day from now until the actual due date. Her shower is on the 12th(whatever the 2nd sunday in March is) and I just cant wait. :-)
- Down side is: I'm having major internal pressure to be a mom now. It's frustrating. I decided that regardless of my relationship status, in 5 years, I'm going to be pregnant come hell or high water. I need that experience in my life at least once, and definately with my own child if it's at all possible. Who knows, maybe by then, the society and laws will be more suportive (ie: a better world for my child to enter - every parents wish)
the cat is settled in quite well to being in a loving household. he's still crotchety at times, but I think he's mellowed out enought to start looking for the housemate playmate he desperately needs. I"m thinking a female cat, fixed, about a year old would be just right for him.
I still don't have most folks phone numbers unfortunately. My cell phone had a hiccup and I lost most of things again. Give a call when you all can (603-264-6281) and help me out with getting my address book updated please :)
I may not be online again for a while, I'm actually at a friend's parent's house borrowing their computer, I'm not allowed to use the internet for personal use at work-- the penalties are pretty high and though I really miss everyone, it's not worth the risk yet.
