Sleep... must have more sleep....

So apparently sleeping until 11am is not the right thing to do on Sunday. Cause I couldn't fall asleep until 2:45 this morning. I got up at 7. Not enough sleep. Oh well, I'll go to bed early tonight and start fresh tomorrow.

This weekend was, well, interesting. Here's a recap.

Friday: I had my oral prelim exams for Ph.D. enterance. I was super stressed out and really didn't think I had studied enough. I was worried that all my talk about "If I don't know it now, I'll never know it" was going to be completely unfounded and I was going to fail miserably and look like a goon. Thursday night was spent frantically pulling books off my shelves and looking for specific pages that I knew I was going to be asked about. I woke up early, did some more reading (to the point where I was drying my hair with my head tipped upside down and there was a book on the floor because I thought I didn't know anything about math interventions), and then went into school. Was almost late because of stupid people taking the freaking elevator to the third floor of a 15 story building. Get to the sixth floor. Start freaking.

There really was no reason to. I passed. I don't even have to do any written revisions. Apparently I fooled all of them into thinking I know my stuff. Muhahahahah!

Went home, cleaned, and took a nap. Rusty was late and woke me up. Scared me because although I knew he was going to let himself into my apartment, I'm not used to people sneaking up on me while I'm asleep. Continued the nap until it was time to get ready to go to Chambana for dinner with two of our friends that go to U of I.

The drive was nice and we had quality talking time until we got into Chambana. Traffic is crazy there and I was freaking out because people are stupid. Rusty promptly got mad and stopped talking to me. We met up with our friends in a parking lot (how romantic) and started going to dinner. The person driving got us lost in a corn field. It was fun.

At dinner I found out that my friend is pregnant. She moved her wedding date up a year to this December. She has three years of undergrad left. He has two years of undergrad and two of graduate school. It was shocking, to say the least.

Rusty and I got into a huge fight in the car on the way back. He accused me of being cold and heartless when I stated that I was upset with my friend without using her head about birth control and was disappointed because I thought she could accomplish so much in her life before having a family. Many tears resulted which ended with me having to find my inhalor.

We got home at midnight and Rusty packed up to go home. He had had enough with me. So, I started yelling at him from accross my apartment. If my neightbors didn't think I was nuts beforehand, they have to wonder now. We worked things out though, and we went to sleep.

Got up Saturday, went to Indy, had a wonderful time. I just like spending time with him. Was exhausted so we came back to Terre Haute earlier than expected, went to dinner, watched TV, crashed.

Woke up Sunday morning in time for Rusty to watch Meet the Press. I slept through that until 11. Nascar started at 11:30. Rusty watched that until 4. And then he left.

That's my weekend.

Time to go back to work. I gotta get this report finished so Dr. Shamsaie doesn't think I do nothing all day.
