I went to a psychic fair today.
ISN'T THAT SO ME?! 8D
xD The joke was you had to be a psychic to find it because the signs were very crappy. Good thing I was there. :3
It was kind of crummy, though. It wasn't exactly a convention; there were just people selling items and their skills, and there was only one place for discussions. I love the whole psychic thing (otherwise that wouldn't be my name, right? XD) and wanted to get a reading, but jeez, they're all so expensive! The most basic reading was $40 for 15 minutes, and it was the cheapest, too! There was just one booth where you could ask one free question, but we couldn't bother with the long line for the cheapest thing there.
So...we all got electronic readings. xD
I really don't like the idea of a computer giving you a reading based solely on your name, birthday and a scan of your hand, but it was $5 for a tarot reading and sex scope (and free palm reading, even though my head barely scanned), so I figured I payed for a ticket, so I might as well get something.
As usual, it was a mixture of realy accurate stuff and...less accurate stuff. But it was kind of neat. :P
Either way, I was kinda more in the mood for that than another cosplay photoshoot. I'm a little tired of going as an Umbreon with constant costume malfunctions, and just a break from the people was a bit nice.
I'd really prefer to be able to alternate wearing different costumes, but Captain Falcon's the only thing that's even in progress, and I don't want to wear it until I at least have the helmet.
I just hope I have some luck with that in time for Halloween...
The cosplayers had another get-together today, but I wasn't there, and only three people showed. My gang was gonna meet up with them for laser tag, but the required timing wasn't the best and I figured six people would be a bit dull, so we cancelled. Unfortunately, Link only got the message I left on his cell once they GOT to the place, so I feel rather bad about dissapointing them. :x
So after the fair we headed to the secondhand store to find me a nice, slutty skirt for the Rocky Horror Picture Show, as well as to find a cheap helmet for Captain Falcon.
Got the skirt (or at least one that fits mildly well), but instead of a helmet, I got...um...
I got a freaking Pikachu knapsack.
You know, like the kinds half of female otakus wear. XD
It was actually in amazing condition, and my sister says I should keep it, but I intend to sell it online. The thought of keeping it is entertaining, but I really, really don't need it and have nowhere to put it. I'm really not usually an impulse buyer like this. :P
Oh, and we found a very...interesting plushie, too.
It was a little yellow bear.
With a nun head-dress.
...
With gigantic breasts with big pink nipples and a thick wad of black pubic hair.
And it was in the CHILDRENS' area. I wish I was kidding.
We went to Sam's house for a bit, and I finally got to meet Dewey.
Dewey is the squirrel her family took in a few months ago, back when he was still little. Honestly, how often can you say you got to play with a squirrel? =D
But I can see why they're not kept as pets. They're very frisky creatures, and really can't hold still for more than a couple seconds. Very cute, though. At first he was just sort of nibbling my hand, then he started getting brave and running along my arms, then he flittered from my shoulders along my back to my ass onto anyone standing nearby. Be loves tp go inside clothing, and his paws REALLY tickle, but whenever he gets too low I start giggling and moving, which made him nervous so his claws would dig in a bit more.
Consequently I'd have to put him back in the cage Sam's dad made for him (a pretty large thing more than five feet tall). That house is a zoo; aside from the usual cats, dogs, birds, fish and rabbit, they've also babysat our teacher's turtle, and have had a chicken for a few months.
Anyway, after Sam's we went to Kallos' house and just hung out. Watched a couple movies, gossiped about how stupid Alan's ex-girlfriend is for being creepy about Alan and now going out with Brian.
I loooove Steve Carell. And more importantly: I LOVE LAMP.
It's funny because I originally saw that movie with Kallos at camp. It's so great. XD Free cookies to anyone who knows the movie.
One final note:
If you don't read the sticky threads on SPPf, it's your own fucking fault.
Whether it's the rules or just an announcement, you can't hold the Mods responsible for what you do or do not read. If you don't notice it, you have nobody but yourself to blame.
I'd love to make stickies more noticable, but aside from putting them in glaring caps, there is nothing I can do.
This is why we punish newbies who make rule-breaking posts and this is why Yami Ryu is stupid.
