And I will NOT be Mr. Arrow and allow these gentlemen of fortune to overwhelm me until I'm forced to just let them throw me overboard.
Today was Talk Like a Pirate Day, so you know. ^^ Grace dressed all awesome-like, like a pirate, as well as a couple other random people, and it kicked ass. Also her ankle-length coat is "short" on me since it goes to my thighs. But gosh it's an awesome coat.
The reason I can't do it today or tomorrow is because I want to get a good night's sleep so that tomorrow I'll be rested and alert for the Cosplay Chess meetup. Sam has work to catch up on so she quit on me yesterday, Grace and Jana are busy, Tom has no internet and wouldn't answer his cell, and Alex was probably at work, but I guess he didn't get my message when he got home. He also may be busy tomorrow since he seems to work a lot. Oh, and my other friends wouldn't be interested. That's everyone that comes to mind.
I wish I had a baseball bat or pepper spray to bring with me, just to feel safe, since the meetup's a bit far. They could be my friends. A tiki torch would be cool, too.
But hopefully it'll be fun! I have no idea exactly what we're going to be doing (nobody replied to me on the forum ><), but I think it's going to be some mish-mash of photos, hanging out, bowling and meeting some people for Bubble Tea. I need to get that coupon for the tea and print out directions to the possible bowling place...
I don't know who's actually going to be wearing their cosplays, but either way I'm excited to get my Umbreon ears and tail out again. They've been all lonely in my closet for three months - that's so long!
I may try to somehow pin the rings to my pants this time, but I'm really unsure. I just don't want to lose them again/have to check that they're intact all the time. :S
Should also find a new way to attach the ears before that clear, thin string snaps. @_@
I still don't understand why Sam and Jana suddenly decided to rip apart Damian. He was so cool until now/until they casted him. He's hardly the "chill, will-do-anything-for-an-easy-grade" kind of guy anymore. Or well, now it's closer to nerd than cool guy, and one who's really obsessed with memes.
Says the girl who loves to say "om nom nom," gets the urge to CarmelDanson, loves the :awesome: smiley and tends to reference Chuck Norris instead of god, of course.
Plus Tim and Tom from CinCom aren't working with us, which sucks. Gah, I should have tried to ask Adam to audition; he's cooler than I had thought (theatre class teaches you so much about a person :D), and he would probably have gotten it right away. Hell, even Trevor, but noooo, we can't find time to audition him so LET'S PRETEND HE DOESN'T EXIST.
Good thing I put up the advert in the theatre kids' lounge asking for Danians when Sam and Jana only cared to audition two people in the end, neither of whom were very good.
And yes; sorry guys, but I am leaving out the main explanation here. I'd like to say more, but we want it to be a secret for now (if at all possible). Not that we'll become celebs anyway. :P
After dinner tonight my entire family (save my sister who's away for the weekend) headed over to a nearby store because my grandmother wanted to buy me some tops. (She was complaining about how I shouldn't be wearing a t-shirt tonight since it was sooooo cold, which it wasn't. :P) Saw the older sister of Maddie, a girl I went to sleep-away camp with years ago. All the girls were total bitches to me there, and it was great to finally stop going there - they ended up closing down the year after. XD
But I saw Maddie during the summer last year...having a good smoke of something I don't remember at the park (classy). I'd have asked her sister what school she was in now, but I kind of wonder if she even goes to school at all.
Not because I saw her smoking one time. But I can kind of just imagine her quitting her education after high school. I didn't want to accidentally offend, so I didn't ask.
The sister looked a lot like Maddie, and I was surprised that she knew who I was right away - I don't think she was even at camp with us. I could be wrong, but either way...I dunno, just seemed a little...creepy.
