Character Information
Name: Sakuraba Neku (Neko)
Fandom: The World Ends With You
Age: 17
Gender: Female
OU, AU, or RU: RU
Assignment: The Stella. Neko isn't much of anything now, besides a high-school girl.

Appearance: Neko isn't very tall, standing at just over 5 feet tall. One of the most notable features of this girl is her short, spiky orange hair, a stark contrast to her blue eyes. Her hair has gotten a bit longer since she entered high-school, but it's still pretty short, yet still bright orange. She's constantly got a set of purple headphones on and is listening to music from a portable music player (thus giving her the nickname of 'Phones'). Her headphones are on so much that her hair is pressed down so that it looks like she has her headphones on even if she has them off. She has pale skin, almost as if she doesn't spend any time outside, when in reality, she spends a lot of time outside, looking around for different graffiti murals painted by her favorite graffiti artist.

Neko wears a dark purple sleeveless shirt with a lighter purple stripe down the middle with a pair of baggy white shorts that have the same colored stripes on the top of the pocket as her shirt. Her tennis shoes are the same dark purple as her shirt as well, with the same lighter stripe. She wears a yellow band around her left wrist and around her neck hangs what appears to be a USB drive. Also pinned to her shirt are several pins.
History: History can be found here. Beware. Epic TL;DR.

Personality:Neko isn't a very social person. She lives by the motto "Do what you want, when you want, and where you want" and prefers to keep to herself and her music and ignore just about everyone else, often coming off as cold and uncaring to most people, even calling her first partner a stalker for the first part of the week. She doesn’t like it when people mess with her headphones or her music and will become very annoyed when people try to get her to take them off. She is rather stubborn and prefers doing things her own way, even if her partner disagrees with it.

Things changed when she started playing the Reaper’s Game. She was forced to work with someone else in order to accomplish the missions given throughout the week and in order to fight. It has caused her to open up a little bit more, but she still tends to keep to herself or the few people that she considers friends. After beating the first week of the Reaper’s Game and having to play a second, Neko became more determined and rather protective of her partner, which had been taken as the entry fee for her second game (the first was most of her memories, which she got back after beating the first week).

Because of the Reaper’s Game, Neko will do whatever she can for the people she considers her friends. After two weeks of playing, and being forced to play for a third, Neko will risk anything to make sure that her friends are safe, even if it means getting hurt. Because she has been forced to play the Reaper’s Game for three weeks, she has changed a lot, opening up to a few close friends. She is still rather anti social, but after a while, she will open up. She is also very protective of her friends and is willing to do anything for them.

After being on board the Crucible, she has changed even more. She’s still a bit anti-social, preferring to be with the few people that she considers her friends rather than out among other people. She’s more open around others she doesn’t know. Her time on the Crucible has made her think about the way things could have gone in her own world as well as other versions of it. She’s glad for the second chance at life, even if it means that she can’t use the psychs within her pins anymore.

Strengths: Neko's strengths have changed since she first joined the Crucible. She no longer has the ability to access the Psychs within her pins. She is a skilled artist and loves sketching out various things. She has a graffiti-like style to her art, similar to KATs. She's a loyal friend and will do what she can to help out, even if she doesn't have her psychs. She also plays a mean game of Tin Pin Slammer and has gotten first place in a few tournaments.
Weaknesses: Neko's alive again and with that comes all the weaknesses of humans. She's can't heal incredibly fast and she doesn't have any super strength (not like her pins gave her that anyway). She's still rather antisocial, keeping to herself most of the time. She's also got a bit of a temper. She is also rather reckless, since she'll do whatever she can to help her friends, even if it means that she'll get hurt.

Sample:Neko groaned as she rolled over in bed. She felt like hell and wondered if she would have to call Shiki and the others to tell them that she wouldn’t be able to make it to go meet up for some Tin Pin Slammer and shopping out at 104. She didn’t want to open her eyes. All she wanted was her headphones and music.

Reaching out blindly, she groped in the general direction of her headphones only to find them not in their usual place. Something was way off. She always kept her headphones next to the bed with her music player. Sitting up, she looked around as she rubbed her eyes. This was all too familiar to her.

Things looked updated and she wondered just how much time had gone by since she had left the Crucible. She hadn’t told anyone about what had happened on the Crucible, since it all seemed like a very realistic dream to her and her friends wouldn’t have understood what happened unless they had gone through the same thing that she did.

She looked around the room and found her music player and her headphones, slipping them around her neck and then looking at the message from Orion. She was glad to see him, but at the same time she dreaded what the full message would say. She sat down on the edge of the bed, watching the message and sighed.

If only she had her psychs, she would be able to help out more. Without them, she wasn’t able to do a lot besides doing what she was told. She couldn’t really fight; she was just a normal high school girl. She would need to think about what she had to do, and there wasn’t any way that she could get home without the Gate.

She looked over at the sphere with a sigh. She would do what she could to help out, even if it meant just staying out of the way. She wondered if Joshua and the other people she talked with would be brought back and wasn’t sure if that would be a good thing or a bad thing. She also wondered who had stayed when they had been given the choice to do so if they had wanted.

“Orion, I may not be able to do a whole lot, but I’ll do what I can to help out. Also, is Axel still around?” Out of all the people besides Manjoume and Joshua, Axel was the one she talked to the most and had the most likely hood of still being around. She couldn’t remember if he had stayed or left.
