At least my life isn't boring
Okay, so I'm a magnet for disaster. God can still use me, right?
I was on my way to Bible study tonite and looking forward to getting to know the speaker, who is the new pastor's wife, a little better when it happened. I don't know what it is, but suddenly my car became magnetized and the pull was so powerful that it caused a compact SUV to become one with my passenger's door. The SUV driver was also very mystified and in awe of the natural power of attraction that brought us together. Apparently, while I was coming along side his car and then "whipped around out of nowhere" I created my own gravitational field.
AMAZING!
I had no idea that minding my own business and driving 25mph on a two lane/one way street would create such an astrophysical phenomenon. *Smacks forehead*
Bottom line, the guy wasn't paying attention to the fact that I was along side him and tried to push me out of my lane. So the entire passenger side of my car is crumpled up like yesterday's newspaper. SIGH
Of course I was not at fault and he is the one who received the ticket. He kept vascillating between taking responsibility for the accident to accusing me of speeding. I told him that this particular road was a speed trap and no one in their right mind would go over the speed limit on it. Did I mention that the accident was almost directly in front of the police station?
Anyway, I was amazingly calm (after I stopped shaking) and told him it would be all right. The kicker was, I got to witness to him about the Christian faith and how at the time of the accident I was heading for a Bible study entitled.........
