Here I am!
Life is coming pretty fast and having older parents doesn't even slow it down.
My MIL had major abdominal surgery 3 weeks ago. She was supposed to be out of the hospital in 7 days, but has had such a rough time recovering.
Monday, they had to take her to the ICU because she had a massive amount of fluid built up in her chest cavity and they had to drain it off with needle syringes. The technical term is a thorancentesis, but my DH told me they had to "harpoon her" For heavens sake, she's his mother not Moby Dick!!
Anyway, while she was recovering in the ICU a young woman came to us and told us that even when my MIL was in so much pain, she had reached out to this woman. The woman's mother was terminally ill and my MIL saw her crying, called her over to the bed and started praying for this lady and her family! Wow, talk about living our your testimony. My MIL is such a wonderful Christian lady. The outpouring from the surrounding church communities have been overwhelming and I didn't realize how truly wide spread her ministry was.
So, she is slowly getting better, which I am thankful for, but will probably be in the hospital during the holiday. I haven't been on the computer much, understandably and wanted you guys to know what was going on.
I pray each and everyone of you and your families have a blessed Thanksgiving and thank you for being there for me.
