Hello again
Popping in real quick for the most awesomest of book recs. Can You Keep a Secret by Sophie Kinsella. She also wrote the Shopaholic series, but this, in my opinion, surpasses the lot of those.
I read a lot and have cried reading quite a few books, but usually when someone dies. This one made me so angry and hurt along with Emma (the lead) that I was crying right along with her. Kinsella has such a flair for conveying true emotion and raw feelings that it just hits you. Plus, there are so many laugh out loud situations you just fall in love with Emma. Here's one of my favorite lines from the book:
"As I leave the office in the evening, I feel all agitated, like one of those snow globes you see resting peacefully on shop counters. I was perfectly happy being an ordinary, dull little Swiss village. But now Jack Harper's come and shaken me up, and there are snowflakes all over the place, whirling around until I don't know whatI think anymore.
And bits of glitter, too. Tiny bits of shiny, secret excitement."
Ok, enough gushing. Get this book.
