Sometimes, the most small insignificant things keep you sane.
Day was headin' rapidly downhill. Even now, I have a big -two- highlights of the day.
One is getting a sketch of Koku that I'm actually happy with.
Two, and the one that really made me smile?
Chris seemed down today, so I hugged him every chance I got, every time we passed on campus and whatnot. And then at lunch, the last time I saw him for the rest of the day, he came up to where I was on the platform of the portable, reached up, and handed me a little star. Oragami I guess, pink and tiny, not even as big around as a dime.
I melted, I think. I love these little things that people do. I know I can't and often don't give that back, and I seriously wish I could. I wish I knew just the right way to make people really smile.
As it is, I don't. But I sure as hell am thankful for those people. They make life on the whole worth it with their little kindnesses.
