It comes down to this
Well, my computer problems may be solved around Friday. I'm going to replace this motherboard with one that my mother and sister are using, and a new video card. Mom says the video card is a PCI card that's comparable to this one, even if it has 256 memory instead of 512. But that's okay. We can put this video card in the machine in the living room for when I capture from the TV to the computer.
I've been patient with this motherboard for four weeks and there's nothing left to troubleshoot. It's just not working and I can't do half of what I want to do with this one. I'll miss the speed. I mean, this machine as it is, is a speed-demon, ideal for video work, but I'm getting sick of getting blue screens all the time. :/
