"Keep it down, will ya?" Dean said, lifting his head enough to look at Sam through slitted eyes. "Hard to play dead when you're handing the orcs in my skull bigger pickaxes to dig with."

"Sorry," Sam said quickly, getting quieter. "How are you feeling? Aside from pickaxes in your skull?"

"Stupid," Dean said. "Should never have let my guard down, no matter what he said. You?"

"Okay, I guess." He wasn't going to say scared, not in front of Dean. "What do you think he wants?"

"Dunno. He's not a demon at least. He Christo'ed me when he was trying to get close. He seemed all hot and bothered to get me to call you."

"He said he wants to talk to me about Yellow Eyes," Sam said, allowing some of his concern to show. "Do you think maybe...I don't know, he's a hunter gone rogue or something?"

"That's a funny accusation coming from you," Gordon said as he came back inside. "Although, maybe 'funny' isn't the right word."

"What are you talking about?" Sam asked. "I'm not the one beating people up and kidnapping them. What do you know about Yellow Eyes?"

"Not at much as I think you do," Gordon replied.

[psychic_wonder]

"Right, because Dean and I know so much. That's why we're hunting him down now. Oh wait," he said sarcastically, "we're not."

[realgoodhunter]

"I'm not talking about Dean," Gordon said, moving to stand next to Dean even as his eyes stayed on Sam. "I'm talking about you."

Sam got more nervous as Gordon got closer to Dean, but he tried to play it off as extra confusion. "I wouldn't know anything my family doesn't," he said. Unless Dad knew something he hadn't shared with him and Dean, and Sam started to wonder if that was what this was about.

"Really?" Gordon asked. "Does that go both ways? Does your family know everything you know?" Leaning down, he finally turned away from Sam. "Tell me, Dean. How much do you know about your brother's involvement with demons? I know you're in there. I didn't hit you that hard."

Dean sighed and raised his head, giving up the act. "I don't know what you're smoking but Sammy doesn't have any 'involvement' with demons."

[realgoodhunter]

"My sources say something different," Gordon replied. "They tell me that your brother's a monster."

Dean actually laughed at that. "Sammy? Yeah right. You beter check your sources; they're totally leading you on."
