Secluded Spot on the Beach, Thursday Evening

The weather was getting noticeably colder these days, but Sam didn't mind. He liked this time of year the best, when it wasn't stiflingly hot, and people didn't question his choice to go around wearing multiple layers as often as they usually did. After his conversation with Claire Peter realized he wasn't practicing with his powers nearly enough. So he headed out to the beach to see if he could get some in.

He wasn't expecting to see Sam, honest. "Oh. Uh - hey."

Sam snapped out of his reverie and gave Peter a smile. "Hey. I didn't think I'd see anyone else out here tonight."

"Ditto," Peter replied. He raked a hand through his hair as wind off the water blew his bangs right into his eyes. "Am I interrupting? Plenty of beach. I could be elsewhere."

[psychic_wonder]

"No, not at all. I'm enjoying an evening of laziness. I can get out of your way if you want," he offered.

[repeterpetrelli]

"Nah," Peter shrugged. "Don't mind you, don't mind the audience. Isn't it a little cold out for relaxing?"

[psychic_wonder]

"No, it's just right," Sam said. "Gives me an excuse to bundle up."

Peter went to sit beside him. "You like that? Cold weather?"

[psychic_wonder]

Sam nodded. "I'd rather be cold than be hot. And cold weather makes me think of the holidays, which haven't been so bad lately."

[repeterpetrelli]

"I'll be heading up to the city for Thanksgiving," Peter said. "You'd be welcome to come, but I'm guessing you're planning on staying here?"

[psychic_wonder]

"Yeah. I think we might actually try to have a real Thanksgiving, at the house and everything." Sam sounded amazed at the mere prospect.

[repeterpetrelli]

"Turkey, stuffing with sausage in it," Peter said, fondly. "Whole house smelling good. Plus the parade."

[psychic_wonder]

"I haven't watched the parade since I was little," Sam admitted. "You make Thanksgiving sound so much fun."

[repeterpetrelli]

"I'm Italian, it's a food related holiday," Peter said with a grin. "Can't lose. You should see it in person. The parade I mean."

[psychic_wonder]

"Have you ever gone to see it in person?" Sam asked, relaxing back on the sand.

[repeterpetrelli]

"'course," Peter said. "Get out there in the crowd, some roasted chestnuts for breakfast - it's fun."

[psychic_wonder]

"You're so lucky to be a New Yorker," Sam said. "I'll have to live vicariously through you."
