Sam decided that if he was going to try to get into Manticore to get information on Alec, it was probably best to do it from the library.
What, that's where all good research was done! And the fact that there was a high chance no one would come in and catch him at what he was doing was merely a bonus.
It took some doing - quite a lot of doing, in fact, and Sam was exceptionally glad that he'd worked on honing his password cracking skills over the summer - but he managed to follow the instructions he'd been given, and got into Manticore's system. The hacker had been right - these guys were bad news; that much was apparent from the start. When Sam reached the file area, he almost typed in that he was looking for "Alec" before remembering that Alec's ID number would probably be more effective. He'd written the number down when he'd first met Alec, just in case he needed it for researching later, and he was going to have to remember to thank his dad later for ingraining that practice into him and Dean.
Sam typed Alec's ID number in and waited, worrying for a moment that nothing would come up, that he'd done something wrong, or that the whole thing would shut down. And then
the listing came up, file after file, all pertaining to Alec. Sam clicked on what seemed to be the last five mission reports, and hoped that they'd paint a better picture than the one the hacker had given him.
But they didn't. If anything else, looking at Alec's files only made Sam feel worse. He wasn't just trained as an assassin - he was good at it, at least according to Manticore's standards. File after file of names, of targets, of bystanders all dead by Alec's hand, and Sam didn't realize his own hands were shaking until he started saving the files to his computer, and pulled himself out of Manticore's system.
As much as he didn't want to look at the files again, he had to check and make sure that they were complete on his computer. Then came pacing through the stacks, as he tried to figure out what to do now that he had this information. Obviously, he would have to show the files to Dean, to show him exactly what kind of person Alec really was, whether he wanted to believe it or not. But Sam knew Dean almost too well, and he knew that even with the proof in his hands, there was a chance Dean wouldn't believe what he was reading unless other people backed Sam up.
And really, there was only one way to ensure that that happened.

Hey everyone.
I've given a lot of thought to whether or not to send this e-mail out to all of you, but I've decided that there's no reason you all don't deserve to be as well-informed as I am, especially in a matter this serious.
I assume that most of you at least know of Alec. For those who don't know him all that well, all you really need to know is that he's a student here, and since his arrival over the summer, he's been lying to people about where he came from. It's true that before coming here, he was at a place called Manticore. But the facility is nothing like what he's led people to believe. It's not a military school or a boot camp or anything even remotely normal. It's a facility designed to train transgenics, like Alec, to be black ops assassins.
I know a lot of you like Alec, and you probably don't believe me right now. That's why I'm sending five case files from the missions that Alec was sent on during his time at Manticore, attached to this e-mail. Yes, they're real documents, they're official, and they're top secret, so no, I'm not telling you how I got them. These files explain missions that Alec was sent on - not against fellow soldiers, but against civilians, scientists and politicians who seemed to be asking too many questions about what Manticore was doing. These files explain how Alec completed his missions, including the steps that he went through to lie and ingratiate himself into a prime position, before generally striking his targets from behind, preventing them from having a chance to defend themselves, or to even know that he was there.
Many of you know how I feel about Alec, and a number of you have told me that my opinions are biased where he's concerned. But there's no bias here, just cold, hard facts. Alec is a danger to us, and to everyone at this school. You all deserve to know the truth about that.
Sincerely,
Sam Winchester

Almost immediately, he started getting bounce backs from the people whose addresses he'd gotten wrong, but that was all right. Surely they'd find out about what he'd sent soon enough. Now, all he had to do was wait for people to let the truth sink in, and figure out what he was going to say to Dean.
