Liberal is not a bad word!
I found this yesterday in the glossery while looking up things in our study giude for World History.
Liberalism, as defined by the Glencoe World History textbook: "a political pholosophy origionally based largely on Enlightenment principals, holding that people should be as free as possible from government restraint and that civil liberties--the basic rights of all people--should be protected."
Liberal is not a bad word. If you are considered a liberal, accept it and embrace it. It is a good thing!
I was just surprised that a textbook got it right.
