When I woke up today, I wanted to go ahead to Splice Town, but I had to go back and get a few things in Wave Town, namely a berry jar for Gloom, and at least one pokemon balloon, but before that, I put on the only pair pants I brought with me.
When I got to Splice Town, it seems like the gent, Nurse Rayne, and Lawrence had the same idea as I met them there. We chatted a little, then we decided to go to the town's big thing, the splicing lab. It looked big on the outside, but the inside? Wow. It dwarfed the lab in Gen town where my journey began. It had pokemon buzzing around too, mostly electric types, but I saw some legendaries that I had thought were myths. We walked up to the desk, and I asked about splicing, and did my ears pay for it. Her accent was atrocious and seemed wrong in this day and age, but I put up with it, seeing as she gave me info I needed. After my questions got answered, she directed me to where the doctors were. I thanked her, for politeness's sake, and headed back.
The good "doctor" turned out to be a mewtwo. A mewtwo here, and it? he? was not the only one! A few more questions were asked about the procedure, and then the most important one was asked by the doctor: Who's the one wanting to splice their pokemon? I answered him, and gave him Pikachu's, who had evolved last night, and Zorua's balls. He and his assistant? partner? took the balls, and put them where they needed to be. When I saw images of, or possibly the real pokemon, I felt a twinge in my heart because of the bewildered looks they had. If I'm going to do this again, I'm going to tell the donors what I'm going to do, and why. The doctor led me to a touch screen, and told me I can make the splice look any way I wanted. I told Gothorita to hold Ralts' hands and keep her from doing anything to the screen, my dear starter nodded and grabbed her younger companion as I wiggled my fingers. I ended up making the splice Zorua based, giving it Pikachu's ears and tail, though the tail kept its fluffiness. Its colors were brown main with red markinvgs, and its "collar" was yellow. Little unusual, I know, but my choice. Afterwards, we visited both shops beside the lab. The one on the left had a blue haired loser who couldn't control the ... unusual splice pokemon. I wouldn't call them bad as anyone can beat anyone else on any day, but the looks? My zorchu was better looking and mannered. Lawrence felt for and relate to the guy. If anyone could get together, those two could be a scary thought. The shop on the left was ran an enthusiastic redheaded lady who had well mannered and, in most cases, good looking splices. They were pricey -- 10000 to the blue haired guy's 500, but she ensured us that they were worth it. As some put theirs in layaway, or bought what they called "rejects," a certain pokemon caught my eye, a well mannered and happy mix of Kirlia and Cloyster dunned Kriloyster. Gothorita obviously gave me an objecting look, but I bought Kriloyster anyway. Ralts stared at her in.. well, I couldn't really tell, but I did tell her that she wouldn't look like that when she evolved.
After the purchases, I wanted to go to to the Day Care Center. I had two goals in life that did not have anything to do with my family: Have a whole troop of Eevee evolutions, and have my own chess team ... out of pokemon. Seeing Pawnie gave that one hope.
We got there, and both Nurse Rayne and I put in an Eevee and a ditto. The gent, evidentially, wanted more of his starter, as he put in two of the evolution chain in. The caretaker said that we could put in unusual breeding pairs, and see what happens. Hearing that, Nurse Rayne went nuts, dropping off several pairs of random pokemon. I put in an Oshwott and a Rotom. Eh, after seeing splices, what the hey?
That being done, I told the group that I wanted to explore the pyramid we found the other day with Mike. I must have missed something with the gent and Nurse Rayne because they exchanged looks as Lawrence went "Huh?" and I told him what we found. We went to Magrathea, and I started returning my girls. The gent asked what was up and I told him. At the time, I thought that he thought that my plan was funny seeing as he smiled, but knowing now, *sigh* I must have looked quite the fool. I got out the balloon, good enough to even lift Snorlaxes, and tied it around my wrist and started my ascent to the pyramid. They must have had a jolly good laugh at my expense, much like my brat brother does when Father and I disagree and I pay for it. I found out AFTERWARDS that there was a teleporter up to the pyramid. I must have looked like a tomato because I blushed so hard in embarrassment.
We went in, and there were nothing but Psychic pokemon. I was so happy, which was good after my faux pas. I got a few new pokemon, including a gothita for some other idea. The gent pointed out the Unown on the walls, but they were in old egyptian, not english. Also, below them were randon pieces of gold stuff. Later on, I ran a finger across a piece, and got a psychic "Hey!" in my head. Needless to say, I jumped back. The source of the voice was at the end of our journey: An advanced Alakazam with glowing blue eyes, egyptian runes on his arms, and a jet black Umbreon by his side, and I mean it. The usual Umbreon rings were not there. He questioned us on our motives within "his" realm -- the pyramid, why we were there, and why we were "slaughtering" his psychic kin. We each stated our case, but I don't know how we did. Truthfully, I think the biggest defender might have been Gothorita. I couldn't hear what she was saying, but I do know she was talking to the Alakazam. I'm guessing she did some pretty heavy duty convincing because he shocked us by saying he'd go with whoever solved his riddle. Let me tell you now, it was a toughie. What was it...? One sec. I got it. Little cheating way, but after the head hurting, I think I deserve it.
The riddle goes as stated: Just you and me. Just riddle and rhyme.
I'll lay it all out, no tricks this time.
The 'mon that you seek is found, incredibly, phat.
You heard right, that's where it's at.
Skip the tail of a turkey and shaggy mane,
Look for something else, almost the same.
Spy more than one, thats it you've got!
Actually, and on second thought,
I'll give one more hint, since you're so near,
showing fruit for half the year.
Took us a while. Lawrence was just giving a handful of guesses before giving up, which was more than the gent who didn't want to try. Nurse Rayne annoyed me a little by just throwing out random pokemon, but sometimes she gave good guesses. I figured it was mostly a grass type, so I stuck with them, other than sudowoodo and deerling evolution chains. The winner was me, and my dears got a new friend. On our way out, I decided not to annoy him and only fighting if I saw some pokemon I wanted, like a female Espeon.
Ehehe.. I think I should work on shielding myself from all of these psychic pokemon.
At any rate, I'm not too fond about going back home, which is the next town. I love the town, don't get me wrong. I think its the best, but some people there..... sigh. Might as well rest.
