Hummm... what's new?
I now have a 2002 Toyota Corolla, champagine, ~41k, no power locks or cd player. It does have a tape deck and carpet floor mats, and ~20k fewer miles than the Prizm. Aside from the locks and CD and miles, basically the same car as the one which was totaled. Save I now get the Toyota logo! It is a pleasure getting to see that decal on the wheel! (I wanted a Toyota 4 years ago, and got veto'd at the door.)
I ought to be receiving a refund when both Holmes and Unitrin have paid the bank which holds the loan for the Prizm.
As for me, I am *slowly* getting better. My PT has reccomended a tens unit for me for home use, and the occupational med Doc concurred. I look forward to getting it. PT and massage and stim helps greatly for that evening and part of the next day, but by the following afternoon I am twitching and trying to not fall down when I move too quickly.
The gal who hit me got away with it. She told them she came to a stop at the stop sign and then went into the intersection when her puppy made a sudden movement. *I called it on the puppy* However-- there is no way in hell she stoped first!! No ticket at all. This could pose a problem in further pursuit of recompensation. I will learn further tomorrow and Friday.
