ok.
is it typically a day of bad luck, hallowe'en, or what?
jayzuz, Ive been walking under a black cloud since I woke up...
and its SO gorgeous outside, it just doesnt seem right.
I got up and smashed my toe on the door on my way out of bed.
that should have given me the heads up.

I turned on the water to do dishes, I went downstairs to get something and I got sidetracked.
Im still sopping up water from drawers and stuff..
BAStard..
stayed home all morning for the furnace guy and the lady at the office called to say that it had to be rebooked..*sigh*

On the bright side, the drawers needed cleaning out.
and my punkin muffins turned out nicely.
and i wouldnt have been able to make the muffins if I didnt stay home..
right?
right.

its a great day for the ghosties and goblins.
hallowe'en always reminds me of my dad. he had this ghost that he'd always hang outside, and he'd sit outside and watch the kids all parade up and down the street...
he loved it. I'd come home, when i was a kid, and he'd watch as i spread all of the things I got for hallowe'en out on the floor and he'd snatch all of the red licorice and aero bars.
and kitkat.
and coffee crisp.
I can still see his face when he'd open it and taste it. he'd crinkle up his nose and eyes and say"it's good , eh?"
we always took the kids in town, to my mom and dad's street, because a lot of the people there gave candy out to me when I was a kid. They'd buy shan and ky special treats.
-sigh-
memories

There's a christmas village scene that lights up, at costco.
I neeed it.
i had it in my cart and put it back.
3 times, already.
i'd have no problem buying it for someone else, but formyself?I cant justify it.
i wonder why we're like that?

have a wonderful hallowe'en
