The blender was chugging away against a particularily large banana. Jackie gave the machine a thump, "Behave now. You've still got four more fruits to go." It seemed to oblige and finished pureeing smartly as always

It's probably a little impolite, but he has freshly ground steakburgers. So Phoenix materialises straight into Jackie's kitchen with a grin. And said burgers.

And a bottle of rum. 'Cause you never know.

"Hey, sweetheart." And on seeing the pineapple partly in bits... "You need a chopper." And he's holding a hugely oversized kitchen knife in his hand, showing off.

Jackie turns to face....Phoenix appearing holding ground beef and a large knife. "AAAHHHH!!!" she starts, holding out her own knife in defense.

Then she realized who it was. "Oh for the love...don't sneak up like that! Haven't you ever seen Psycho?"

It had been a long morning. Okay, long noon. But think of it: the day usually starts at lunch time, so, noon technically counts as morning, right?

Phoenix is smug as he grabs the pineapple, the knife shrinking to something of more appropriate size. He starts cutting it up. Yeah, I know that one. Sorry, honey. Tell you what, I'll dice this up and you can put me on burger duty."

"That him?" He asks, when Jackie's phone sounds. "Tell me he's not cancelling."
