She didn't do it to complicate things or to "take the relationship to the next level" or anything soap opera-y like that...the things that people seem to be into now-a-days. It wasn't an impulse, not entirely anyway. We'll call it semi-planned. The fact that she was sitting up on the counter higher than he was helped a bit, she had a good vantage point. She wasn't dared to do it by anyone and it wasn't something he would ask for anyway. It wasn't even because he had been explaining the ins and outs of the space/time continuum while simultaneously integrating the concepts of red and green jello...and the fact that she has no regard for her own safety around the dangerous red kind.
No, when she gave him the surprise kiss on the forehead that stopped him mid-sentence, it was mostly just to see his reaction go from geeky to adorable within a few seconds time...and the tips of his ears turning green.
