I think I need a deadline to complete a 20in20-ish challenge, because I couldn't manage to finish even a single set during the summer free for all @ somein30, but as soon as a new challenge was up I felt inspired! I chose Hard Mode this time, but some of the icons could also fit Extra Hard Mode.
01-05 [01-05 Ramblings]01 - How old are you? I was born in 1986, and even though I lived my teenage years during the 2000s, I consider myself a 90s bitch! I picked the Spice Girls to represent the 90s (could you tell from the silhouettes?) and also used a vibrant and feisty color scheme because to me the 90s are colorful years, somewhat trash-y in terms of style/fashion. 02 - What is your current profession or work/student situation? I'm a software engineer like Nadia Vulvokov, the MC of Russian Doll. I work in a small-ish IT Consulting company in my hometown and I love my job. 03 - Your favorite TV show Veronica Mars, hands down. Especially the first two seasons and the movie. Amazing characters, great overarching plot but also interesting mysteries in each episode, epic love story (ha!) but also epic friendships and phenomenal father/daughter relationship. I don't think a tv show ever made me cry as hard as Veronica Mars did. Lately I also read the two Veronica Mars books and it was like catching up with old friends. 04 - Your favorite movie Kill Bill! I watched it countless times, I just love it. 05 - Your favorite genre of music Ok, so this is a question I answered in six icons, 05-10, and the order is irrelevant, it's just the order in which I made the icons. The first one I made is this one of Lana Del Rey, I love listening to her songs before going to bed, they help me relax and wind down. This icon represent the moody/soft/relaxing pop side of my music.
06-10 [06-10 Ramblings]06 - Your favorite genre of music The very first rock album I bought was Celebrity Skin by the Holes, so I chose Courtney Love and some lyrics from Celebrity Skin to represent all the rock/grunge music I listen to. 07 - Your favorite genre of music I've always loved the Italian alternative rock scene. My all time favourites are Marlene Kuntz and Afterhours, but lately I've been listening a lot to Måneskin (haven't we all). The people in the icon are the vocalist of Måneskin and the vocalist of Afterhours performing Amami ancora during Sanremo (Italian Music Festival). 08 - Your favorite genre of music The lyrics come from No Children, by the Mountain Goats, a brilliant, brilliant song that I choose to represent the indie/folk/punk/whatever side of my music, because I didn't want to make 20 icons from shitty photoshots of singers/bands and/or make 20 icons with text :> 09 - Your favorite genre of music Rihanna represents my love for the more happy/funny/danc-y pop side of my music. 09 - Your favorite genre of music Finally, I choose the album Follow the Leader by KoRn to represent the more metal/hard rock songs I love.
11-15 [11-15 Ramblings]11 - Your favorite character Sasuke from Naruto. No, I will not elaborate, I just love him will all my teenage angsty heart. 12 - A new hobby you'd like to try to get into? Reading tarots! I bought some lovely tarot decks and I like reading them for fun for my girlfriends. 13 - What colour is your hair? My natural color is a dark brown, but I dye them black. 14 - What do you consider your best characteristic? I'm smart, but also silly. 15 - What do you consider your worst characteristic? I'm arrogant. <3
16-20 [16-20 Ramblings]16 - Something you are bad at Dancing! I like dancing but I'm really bad at it. xD 17 - Something you're trying to get better at At the beginning of this year I started doing some stretching and then switched to yoga because I realized I was really stiff for a 35 years old xD So'm I'm trying to regain some flexibility! 18 - What is your vice/bad habit or guilty pleasure? Smoking! 19 - Which superpower would you like to have? ALL the psychic powers! ALL of them! 20 - A quote that speaks to you the most "Inside I am screaming," he said in a flat, calm voice. She laughed. "Inside we all are." (From Race the Sands by Sarah Beth Durst)
