Dream bigger, dahling

I went to visit a friend in Boston this weekend and crashed at her apartment. While I was there we went to see Inception and it was pretty fucking magical.
The bottom line is, I think this film is fucking rad. I really want to see it again, with or without other people, to take notes and just absorb the whole experience all over again. And I can't wait until somebody finally uploads a decent cam. I liked it.

But that doesn't mean there aren't issue. The first of which being the lack of character depth. Despite how much I adore them all, characters in this film seemed fairly one-dimensional. The actors are great, but they had to work with what they were given.

There are theories floating around that the entire movie was just a dream. Which would mean that all the characters (except for DiCaprio character, Dom Cobb) were projections, thus explaining their lack of depth. So it could have been intentional, or it could have been shoddy film making. I haven't decided which explanation I prefer.

The other big issue I had what the female characters. Page's character, Ariadne was brought in as the n00b of the dream team. Her role revolves entirely around Dom. She supposed to be his pupil and ends up acting as his therapist. While the other female character, Mal (yeah, that really is her name) acts as Dom's mirror. A personification of his guilt and his tenuous grasp on reality.

Retrospect is 20/20, though, and during the film which is 2 and a 1/2 hours long I was totally captivated and already crossing my fingers for a fandom [WHICH DOES EXIST AND IS GLORIOUS]. Seriously, the way chemistry oozes from this cast, it's obscene and I lapped it up like a dog. And the three piece suits ♥.

THE POINTMAN AND THE FORGER. IT'S A BEAUTIFUL ROMANCE FOR THE AGES Ariadne can join in too, I'm not adverse to threesomes.
