2007:
-grew a few centimeters
-gained a little weight
-became facets editor
-loved english class
-was touched by two books: Les Miserables, Perks of Being a Wallflower
-went to prom (die)
-cursed a lot more
-helped organize a youth camp
-served in my last AC camp
-enjoyed the company of friends
-went to Palawan- in all its beauty and wonder
-was moved by a praise songs: Time Has Come, Shout Unto God, Praise-worthy, How Great is Our God (!)
-missed friends
-got 90% in an English final exam
-made a 180 turn during a retreat
-had my hair cut by a friend
-wrote and wrote and wrote
-experimented with artistic styles
-made it a point to move people
-felt dejected, alone and insignificant
-took 6 entrance exams asnd applied for scholarships in 4 schools
-rocked the research paper (!)
-trained myself to be more prudent
-learned how to forgive and not be bitter
-cut my angst into a minimum
-realized that i wanted to be a teacher
-went to a metrocon
-trained myself to hate a little less
-practiced frugality
-counted my blessings incessantly
-had wonderful spiritual experiences
-understood a shakespeare play without having read it
-gotten hooked on the 60's civil rights movement
-started reading Ambeth Ocampo stuff
-owned a Read of Die shirt
-cried
-wanted to die from stress
-loved my country despite the crap
-failed a math test
-had a friend move away
-stopped being a sacristan
-realized how awesome the people in my life are
among many many others...
i am not satisfied. but i am content, which is worth so much.
2008:
-will graduate
-will go to college
-will go to ball
-will spend summer with friends
-will get a job/take a class during the summer
-will go to ilc
-will survive college
-will miss more people
-will email relatives
-will improve on social skills
-will be independent
-will turn 18
-will stop being passive
-will be more vocal
-will not put my self down
-will try to minimize curse words
there will be CURVE-BALLS. I like using that. curveballs. the unexpected. i'll manage, i supose. why not?
