wandaxmaximoff gave me the letter G, so here we go:
1. Get Back - Ludacris
The first time I ever heard this was at the end of the movie Tropic Thunder, and I laughed so hard because love him or hate him, Tom Cruise was absolutely fucking hilarious. Every time I hear this it makes me laugh, but too, the rhythm is great and I love the song for itself. This video is the censored one, so those of you who don't like swearing, don't be afraid to click.

2. Gitarzan - Ray Stevens
I've been listening to this song for years, and it started with my dad. His favorite part is the monkey, but mine is Jane - "Shut up, baby, I'm tryin' to sing!!" The video isn't the best quality, but it'll do - enjoy a laugh!

3. Give A Little Love - Ziggy Marley and the Melody Makers
Yes, OK, you figured me out - lots of my favorite songs happen to be from movie soundtracks. This one I heard at the end of Men At Work. I love it, though, the melody and the rhythm and the message. The video is just a picture of Ziggy Marley, but enjoy the song anyway. ;)

4. Go the Distance - Michael Bolton
This one's from Disney's Hercules, but don't let the blatant disregard of the actual mythology - or Michael Bolton's unfortunate hair - drive you away. The song is so, so wonderful, and strikes a chord or several in me somewhere. "When I go the distance, I'll be right where I belong."

5. Gotta Be Somebody - Nickelback
Have I told any of y'all how much I adore this man's voice? Any time I hear it, something in me just sits up straight and sings. Even if I've never heard the song before, I always know when it's Chad Kroeger. That's how I found this song. I was driving home from chapter one night, and decided to turn on the radio. This song was on, right in the middle of the first chorus, and I swear, I sat straight up in my seat. I think my eyes probably glazed over, and I fervently prayed that I hadn't missed the name of the song, that they'd announce it at the end so I could look it up when I got home, and they DID. The video seems to be something anime-ish..."Final Fantasy 7 Advent Children," apparently. I know nothing of it, but that's OK, it's the song I'm after.

Feel free to give me another letter, and to ask for your own letter. I'd like to know what y'all like to listen to, as well! ;)
