It seems like such pure bliss, it makes me wonder if a grown-up like me could ever feel like this...

Time for a meme, this time from superbeffie. Comment if you want to do it and I'll give you five topics I associate you with, and then you post and elaborate on them.

1. Singing? Does that mean you sing or you wish you did?

Both would be accurate, actually. I do sing, I can sing. I LOVE to sing - making music is such a powerful thing for me, and making it with my voice is more satisfying than with an instrument, which was kind of an odd thing to discover about myself, because I was always a hardcore band geek.

I can really belt it out; I love to do it. But I don't really do it when anyone can hear me because I'm terrified they'll think I'm awful...and tell me so. I don't take criticism well, especially not when it's something that makes me so happy. But if I had the courage of a lion, I'd get up in front of anyone and sing my heart out.

2. Harry Potter. What are your ships? Sarah told me not to ask, but I just have to know.

LOL! You probably should have listened to her. *snerk* Harry/Ginny, of course, and Ron/Hermione. Please stop making faces at me, I know you are. ;) My guilty pleasure ships are George/Luna and Neville/Lavender. I'll read just about any ship in fanfiction, even ones that contradict my own ship choices, provided it's well-written and doesn't parade across my personal squicks. I've discovered I have soft spots for Charlie/Hermione and Cedric/Hermione when it comes to fanfic.

3. Why is there an elephant on your little bio picture page?

*shrugs* I like elephants. Their memories are long and their intelligence famed; they have no natural predators and are very much about familial relations and interacting with their families and loved ones. I think they're incredible creatures, and beautiful, too.

4. Fictional character you most identify with and why?

I always wondered if I'd be asked this, and always knew I'd never have a good answer ready. I don't know that any one character I can think of is most like myself. Hermione Granger, of course; she is a reader and a lover of knowledge at heart, as am I. Peter Pevensie, with his leadership skills and his deep love for both his family and his Lord. Lucy Pevensie, with her depthless faith and curious nature. Neville Longbottom too, I suppose - he's quiet but sure of himself. He may not be book-smart or wildly brilliant, but he's smart and dependable in the ways that matter most. And Harry Potter, with his tendency to take everything on himself, to blame himself for things he can't control, to rush off to help someone he thinks is in need of it - I do that, too. And you know, I never think of it as a "saving people thing." That particular observation made me angry when I read it the first time, because it makes it sound like he - and therefore, I - purposely feel the need to go save people in order to be the hero, and that's not what it is at all, it's just about needing to do what's right.

Nope, not a very good answer. Sorry about that.

5. Your dream job? The thing you would do if there were no obstacles in the world.

Everything. I want to do everything.

Narrowing it down, I'd have to go for writing or singing, or even baking/cooking. OH! I know. There's no such job in the world, but dude, no obstacles? I'd quote movies that I know and love. My dad always used to wonder how it was that I could quote perfectly entire scenes from movies, but couldn't get straight A's in school. Well, duh, Dad, I LIKE the movies...school, not so much. ;) That's what I'd do, if it existed. I'd sit in an office and people could come to me for a movie quote, and I could give them one, depending on the movie. *grins*

Anyone else want to give me topics to elaborate on? Please? This was fun. XD.

animals, hi-ho hi-ho, good books don't bite, harry potter, kiss the cook, music, all kinds of deeper wonderment, narnia
