okay swimming has been like.. totally intense

yesterday we started @ 7 and when we got there we just had like an hour and a half prep talk and stuff and then we got in the pool which was FREEEZZINGGG
so it went pretty much like this:

200 x 4  [for those of you that don't know a 200 is 4 laps]
       1.  backwards IM  [reg IM order is butterfly, backstroke, breaststroke, freestyle]
       2. backwards IM kick
       3. backwards IM pull
       4. reg IM

then we went over 3/4 of the competative strokes by doing drills and then them regularly
    1st: freestyle, prob about 10ish 25's (one length) and then a 200 (which killed me..i was sore all day because i pulled my shoulder during the backwards IM pull on butterfly)
    2nd: backstroke, prob same amount of 25's but we did only like 3 25's of reg at the end instead of a 200
    3rd: breaststroke, prob only 6ish 25's and then a 100 i believe, that was cool because coach amy complimented me breaststroke pull (: too bad i have a really sucky breastroke kick.

that was the 1st day

then today we started off with sets of 6 50's, a lot less intense than yesterday lol

Freestyle (50 x 6; drill/swim (drill down, swim back); rest = 20s (20 sec rest between 50's)
       1.  rotation drill                              4. 1 pull/12 kicks
       2. statue of liberty drill right         5. 1 pull/8 kicks
       3. statue of liberty drill left           6. 3 pull/6 kicks

Backstroke (same)
       1. rotation                      4. 1 pull/8 kicks
       2. statue right                5. 3 pull/6 kicks
       3. statue left                  6. deep pull drill

Breaststroke (same except 30 sec rests)
       i can't really remember exactly what drills and stuff we did but i remember doing breaststroke kick, acordian, goggle and 1 pull/2 kicks

after that we did sets of 100's with 30 sec rest and we had to time ourselves on the third
    1st we had to do 6 100's of freestyle and i got 2:25 on my third one
    2nd we had to do 6 100's of IM order and i got either 1:30 or 2:30 i'm not sure cause i think i did better than my first one but i don't know if i could have done THAT much better, i'll be able to tell from what alison got.  i'd be SOO impressed with myself if i got a 1:30 but coach was like, thats really fast and i was like well yeah thats why i'm not sure.  I only did 5 of those because i had to go to the bathroom lol so i missed one.
after each set of 100's we were supposed to do 200 freestyle easily but i was like wayy to dead and you know what its okay with me because i still did better than i thought, i seriously was dehydrated for all of those 100's and i felt like i was going to die when i went to do the last 50 of each 100.  it was just so painful ;___;

so then it was time for lunch thank god.  i got to do a little interview thing with one of the coaches, coach kirsten/twoo-ee (i don't know how to spell her name) and it was about my goals and for swimming my goal was to have more endurance and she said well thats sort of short term because your endurance will build up by the end of the week and i was like yayy so she thought maybe we could push you hard enough so you'd be able to do the 200 in a meet at the end of the season (and the 200 is like.. insane.  its a fricken sprint of 4 laps. e___e) and i was like okay but then she was like that was the hardest race i ever did and i was like e__e thanks.
i saw maxx @ lunch lawlz and said hi!  i was laughing cause he's like the smallest guy (weight wise) on the football team and i hope he doesn't get like CRUSHED. :p i also saw kevin, munchies, harry and shomari oh and sophy stopped by cause she was looking for some green slip lol for volleyball

after lunch we were supposed to run 2 miles... um ew.  but thankfully it was raining and although amy wanted us to go ms twoo-ee didn't want is to lol so instead we ran up and down 5 flights of stairs 10 times.  i saw maxx again lol and he was like COME ON OLIVIA and i was like SHUT UP MAXX then we saw bo han and chumba.  that was kinda fun and really intense lolol  then we got to do visualization in the wrestling room (i saw hester, aidan's sister, the way in...not cause she wrestles lol but because she's on volleyball, i think she's the captain) and everyone was joking around about how our tiger @ the pool is hideous and the one for wrestling is like supah cool.

we actually got out early today so dad took me to buy new running shoes :p.  tomorrow we have practice from 8-12 then a "team lunch" at one of the captains houses later.  i think that will be fun, but not the practice lol

alison's dad calculated that we swam 2.5 miles!! woaah

    1. freestyle

    3. freestyle pull
    4. IM

then we worked on butterfly just doing drills and stuff. my shoulders hurt so bad and my back cause i can't do it right ;__;
after our break we had to do a 200 freestyle..or IM..i can't remember lol
then more butterfly and then after 200 freestyle then 4 50's of breaststroke, drill/swim and then 200 of your choice (i did 50 freestyle, 50 breast, 50 backstroke, 50 breast) and i did it w/o stopping, like i didn't take rests in between the 50's so it was straight 200 im so proud xDD
