So basically I'm a sophomore in college majoring in psychology. I am considering going to graduate school once I complete my four-years of undergrad. I was wondering if someone "withdraws" from a class that's not a psychology related course but an elective(I honestly thought this class was a general education course but it's not), could it hurt ( Read more... )

My sophomore year I dropped logic like a hot potato -- you'd think something so LOGICAL would be easy...all freaking lies.

Logic sounds like a pain in the ass. Did you end up earning a w or did you drop it before the add/drop period ended?

Is that code for partying or something? :p probably a typo, I know.

I don't think one W is a big deal whatsoever if there's a good reason for it and it's not a psych course.

Freaking typo. Thanks for pointing it out to me.

Exactly, it's an astronomy course and I just don't understand why it doesn't count towards my general education credit.

Yeah, definitely withdraw. As long as its not too late to withdraw without penalty.

But, go talk to an adviser first, as they'll be able to tell you how it will show up on your transcript.

I just spoke with my adviser, she suggested the same thing.

It's just going to show up as a W on my transcript. Oh well, astronomy isn't for everybody.
