Please Help?

Hey, I've been trying to find this story for quite awhile, excuse me if my description is a bit fuzzy. I'm fairly certain it is Shawn/Lassie, but also a casefic, where someone is murdering psychics and cutting off their hands. Lassie is adamant about Shawn not being anywhere near this case and at one point punches Shawn and handcuffs him when he finds him at a crime scene, but later Chief Vick hires him on. This is all I can remember...any help would be greatly appreciated!
