SHAWN
Shawn is eleven in 1989
Left a message for Gus that he solved the case
Is locked in the trunk of a car and uses his dad’s lesson to figure out where he is
His text message to Gus reads "Trunk yelrfx ocone pol peac sig”, then “binshot not lol."
Other people in Shawn's phone include: Geoff G, George M, Gina, Gus B., Hammer B., Hansen J., Harrison I, Heidi, Henze C, Hilary, Hollis C, Hollbrook T, and Hoodless D.
Accidentally calls Gina, a woman he dated 3 years ago
He and Gus get their photo taken with the firemen at the scene of the ice cream truck accident. He asks for a 5x7 and a couple of wallet sizes for Gus. Says they came down when they heard the word ice cream on the police scanner. Regret that a whole lot of strawberry shortcake bars destroyed.
Saw signs of tampering at the accident
Escapes the trunk and runs for the wood, forgetting his phone
Left a piece of duct tape tied to a branch to indicate his direction to rescuers.
Tells Longmore that he’s looking to make a vehicle that combines a Zamboni and a weiner mobile.
After escaping form the kidnapper he asked the man at the garage to call Detective Carlton Lassiter.
Gets knocked out by an old fashioned land phone
Tied up in the garage and his wound has been bandaged with duct tape and chamois
He tells his kidnapper that he’s having a hard time concentrating on anything but the gun, but that might be his ADD acting up.
Asks his kidnapper to mail him to his dad’s house
Says that the bullet wound is without a doubt the most pain he’s ever been in in his life. Asks Longmore to turn in the other direction because he would very much like to weep
Goes to the storage yard alone and gets shot in the shoulder
