Skeptical

Unlike many I woke up this morning feeling a bit unsure about the future. I was glad that I shared in many of the historical moments of this campaign season, but much like yesterday morning many of my questions still haven't been answered. Unlike some of my more ardent conservative friends I am more than willing to see what Obama can do. Unlike my more ardent liberal friends I am not filled with this overwhelming sense of hope.

I am concerned that the shredding of the Constitution that has been going on under Dub will continue under the banner of Social Democracy. I am concerned about the expansion of government. (In case you haven't followed along for the last 8 years government has expanded. It was hidden behind private sector contracts while government FTE's were reduced.) I am worried that "hope and change" won't be enough. In the end I am worried that it will continue to be be business as usual.

I am sure that this all sounds horribly cynnical to some, but my questions were not adequately answered by either canidate. What upsets me is that my question all approach is considered unpatriotic or wrong in some way. So excuse me while I sit here and watch this unfold. I hope my concerns are unfounded and that we see a new and brighter day.
