Gah, it's been a while since I've posted, nay? Haven't been up to much recently. David's mom sent him stuff for his b-day. She even got some chopsticks for me. That was nice. We watched Eurotrip. I thought it was going to be stupid, but it actually wasn't. I recomend it if you want a good laugh. The part with the Italian guy on the train is SOOOO true, you have NO idea. It was funny, cause me and David knew about a few of the things that were in the movie. There was this one part where they were in Slovakia, and David was like "I've been there!" And of course the scene where they're in Rome, at the Vatican, and I'm like "I've been there!....Twice! ^.^" . There was also a part with a british soccer team and the captain was like "I think every European country should have a seat at the UN........Except for those filthy Ities. I can't stand those Italian bastards!" me and David were like" HELL YEAH!" It was so great!
Well, me and David had our movie fest this weekend, and all the movies were great. if you don't want spoilers for the Shrek 2, Van Hellsing, or Troy movies, PLEASE STOP READING NOW. Thank you. (Done in order that I saw them in)
First off: Van Hellsing:....OMFG!!!!!! The werewolves were SO cool! They barely looked like CGI, they did SUCH a great job on them! Dracula's transformed state was fucking A! It was kind of sad that the babies kept dying, David said they looked like dragons, I thought they looked more like gargoyles. Eh.....But the ending was SO fucking crappy! When he's a werewolf and holding her dead body, it just looks SO wrong! And the thing with her family in the clouds? WTF!?!? They so could have kept that out. Oh, and the friar was fucking hilarious! "Werewolves?.....Eh....you'll need these then....Have fun" He's the same guy that played Foromir in LOTR. But, in all I'd say it gets a 4 out of 5 rating.
Second: Shrek 2.....Three words: Puss In Boots. He fucking MADE that movie! HE was SO CUTE!!!! When he wants to go with Shrek and he's all *big sad kitty eyes* *squeal* He's so cute! I wanna get an orange cat that looks just like him and call him Puss!!!! I thought Prince Charming was a fucking shmuck. He's so conceited. If I was locked in a tower and he was the first person to come and save me, I'd be like ".......Next" The Fairy Godmother was rocking! When she sang "I Need a Hero" near the end I was like "HOLY SHIT! I've sung that before!" (it was one of the songs we sang in the Footloose musical my senior year) It was so cool! I loved Mongo, just cause they stole that from Blazing Saddles. "Look Mongo! Follow the pretty pony!" "Pony!" So, it got a 5 out of 5 ^.^ Yay Puss!
And lastly: Troy......It pissed me off. They were highly inaccurate. Okay, according to legend, Paris's cousin was a sort of prophet, and she predicted that Paris would bring the downfall of Troy. She tried to convince the king to kill him shortly after he was born. The king sent a guard with baby Paris and ordered him to throw him off a cliff or something, but the soldier didn't have the heart to, so he left him in the middle of a field and said "Let the lions have him" But before the lions could get there, an old farmer found Paris and raised him as his own son. Until the time when he was about....17-18 something like that, when Hector's men (yes, his brother Hector) stole their best milking cow, and said the only was to get it back was to fight in some kind of championship, cause it would be part of the top prize. So he goes and fights all these men until there's no one else to fight, so he ends up fighting Hector, the king realizes who Paris is, he goes to live in his rightful place, and a few weeks later, sees Helen on a campaine to make peace with the Spartans, etc, etc, etc. In the movie they made it sound as if Paris had ALWAYS been there, which is of course a lie Oh, and I don't think Hecrot actually ever liked Paris, he sort of saw him as a security risk, in a way. But the part about Achilles dragging Hector's body back to the Spartan camp IS true......I gave it a 3 out of 5, cause the horse was great, and because Orlando Bloom's in it ^.^
