RYAN WILL LOVE HER AS SHE DESERVES.

...NGL, I have a full what-happens-next plotted out in which tour ends and Jon can't take Spike home w/ him, since they're still working on training her out of DRINKING THEIR BLOOD, and bringing her home to live w/ Dylan and Clover, well, she could seriously hurt them, they don't have too much blood to lose.

So Ryan ends up with her, and the pet store nearby is convinced he has a snake, because he buys the live mice people feed to snakes every week or so, and he brings them home and puts them in a pen with his cat, because if he just sets them free near her, she will lose them and they'll hide in the walls (it has happened before). Obviously the vampire kitten is also kind of fail-ey as a cat.

He tells her, coming home with a new box of skittering mice, "These things don't come cheap, you know. You're lucky I'm not much of a starving artist."

...by which I mean, TY for introducing the idea into my life, I am obviously having way too much fun with it.

I am stuck wasting time in a restaurant because the person who invited us out for her birthday didn't realize that my son can't hang out in the bar section where the party is. This is to explain why fic of a length suitable for reading on my phone is so very welcome tonight. :D

This is so much fun! Poor Ryan, unequipped to deal with a vampire kitten and unwilling to get rid of her. I love that Spencer is so pragmatic, even while being disbelieving. And I kind of love Spike for being the impetus for Ryan to call Spencer.

Thanks for sharing zeenell's gift on a night when I needed fic!

I'm glad it was a good night for it! I just thought if I tried to actually wait for Christmas, I'd probably forget...

I'm really glad Nell introduced me to the idea of vampire kittens, actually. It would never have occured to me, and obviously they're one of the greatest creatures ever. I meant to get more Ryan & Spencer friendshippiness in here than I actually managed--Spike kind of took over early on and didn't let go, but I'm so glad you liked what was there.

Here's hoping your night starts looking up!

IDEK. Who can predict which of the nonsense my brain comes up with will actually appeal? I'm glad that seems like a tempting combination to you, too.
