(no subject)
i am so very, very excited!!!!! i realized how short a time i had before quidditch season started and i HAD to get my broom all ready, because who wants to have a plain broom???? NOT ME!!!! especially when sometimes games go long so people need something pretty to look at!!!! i know it's a very, very important rule that you can't use any spells at all on your brooms, so i had to talk to one of the muggle born firsties and i got all kinds of pretty things!!!
first i put on some super special GO HUFFLEPUFF QUIDDITCH stickers that i made myself!!! some of them even have the special paint on them so the little brooms move!!! i am so glad i learned how to use that paint!!! i'm thinking of becoming a portrait artist when i get out of school!!!!
but then i did so many stickers, the broom handle was kind of bumpy, and sometimes they'd peel off on my hands, and that's no good!!! so i decided to cover the spaces between stickers with glue so that it would be smooth and the stickers would stay!!! and of course, if you're going to cover something in glue... you just HAVE to put glitter in the glue!!!
i got that all done and it worked so well!!! but then my broom was kind of heavy in the front and it kept trying to dive unless i pulled it back really, really hard!!! so i remembered what my grandmama once told me about kites and i made a tail for it!!! it doesn't stick out past the end of the broom but it's all ribbons and pretty pieces of cloth, and so now it pulls on the back enough that it's not top heavy any more!!!!
just wait until everyone sees it at the game, i can't wait!!!!
i know i said i wasn't going to stick things on my beater bat, but i realized there was something i could do without making it go funny shaped! PAINT!!!! it now has my name on one side and zachi's name on the other side and a big heart on the handle!!!! it's the best beater bat ever!!! i think the paint will get all worn off by playing, so i'll have to make a new design soon!!!
mummy thought it was silly, me being on the quiddich team, but i think it's going to be the most fun thing this year!!!!
