The thing about having flat nothing in the way of obligations is it's now impossible for me to get up and do anything. I've been waking up no earlier than 9:00 am every day; I find myself meandering around the house three or four times with no idea what I'm planning to do when I get to... whatever my destination is. Now that all the paid work around the house is done, I can't be assed to dust my shelves or even start cleaning out my art and writing folders.
Obligations currently stacked up:
-practice cello for concert on the tenth
-schedule a lesson
-teach small children cello (Monday)
-do class enrollment (appointment's in mid-June)
-finish getting house ready for grad. party (basically done)
-sign up for Sooner backpacking trip
-make plans for All-Campus (July)
-play Donkey Kong 64 with the Future Dictator of the World
-hang out with goats
-do tags/drabbles
-listen to good music
-sleep
THIS IS THE BEST TO-DO LIST I'VE EVER HAD. 8DDDD
As soon as my laptop's back in commission, I guess it'll be time for the enormous State of the Union post I've been slowly working on. It's five pages long in Word, but that's my copy. It will be cut down substantially by the time I put it up here, because while I've never minded getting personal on this journal, there's only so personal I can get without getting into "reading my paper journal" territory, and that's... ahahaha no.
But I feel like I should have the last two or three years all down in one place, because I've changed a lot. I want an accurate picture of who I am right now, because I'm sitting on top of a beginning and I want to look at who I am in the end and understand how I got to where I will be. If that made sense. No, it didn't. But yeah.
Finally got the first draft of T.J.'s concerto. I've been running upstairs at random times to play it all morning. She's so frighteningly amazing, and her concerto is so lovely~~ We'll be playing together all next week, I hope, because it's not brain-breakingly difficult but it is a concerto, and I'm going to need to put some hours in if I don't want to embarrass myself next to her...
my god. How amazing is it to have obligations you want to take care of?
