clintomus brought a good point that i forgot to bring up.
IF YOU DO NOT HAVE A PSP RUNNING CFW OR FW 1.50 THEN YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO RUN THE APPS OR THE UNIVERSAL UNBRICKER!!!!
But you can still make a majic memstick by formatting it and getting the files from someone who has them. Which is the reason of the re-edit. I have made a majic memstick and currently still have it for precautionary measures with universal unbricker files (ie:msipl and kd folder which has ipl files already for reinstallment)
follow the tutorial for formatting the memory stick and running mspformat and then if you chose you can copy just the 371pbp and KD folder on memory stick. Or if you want you could use the msipl.bin file and proceed to create ipl files yourself using the msinst program. Either way the files are there.
YOU MUST MAKE THE PSP AND GAME/GAME150 FOLDERS MANUALLY WHEN YOU FORMAT THE MEMORY STICK AND THEN COPY DESPERTAR DEL CEMENTARIO FOLDER TO EITHER FOLDER.
this is the best i can do for those who do not have a PSP running custom firmware or who does have 1.50FW. You must find a way to make a jigkick battery.....comment

Okay i know some of us have upgraded to the new CFW 3.80-M33. If not thats cool you might like Sony's Official Firmware, now that they have made it more competative with the skype and the internet radio. But remember where it all started...CFW!!!!!
Anyway the topic of this post is if you havent gone to CFW 3.80-M33 you need to BUT...YOU ALREADY UPGRADED TO OFW 3.80. Which blows b/c there is no downgrader....technically. Anyone remember Pandora's Battery hack and majic memstick???? Anyone...Anyone???
Okay well Dark_Alex made a Universal Unbricker...DUH! NOw the thing is such a pain in the ass to do and i know ive done it several times. I'm basically makin a easy tutorial for those who want to use CFW and cant b/c they already have OFW 3.80. For an added bonus im including all files so you dont have to look for them.
Okay this tutorial is really important b/c if you dont have a majic memstic or jigkick battery its useless to go on and try the Universal unbricker.
Go ahead and download the Pandora files in link below and extract them to your desktop or you main drive which would be "C:".The only reason why i say desktop is b/c when you open your command prompt for the next steps it either starts with "C:" or "C:Documents and Settings\username\Desktop>" desktop is easier to work with b/c all files are in you face and so are the executables. But thats just me. Remember to change directories in command prompt to the desktop if you want to execute the executables on there.
INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
- Extract Pandora Files to root of hard drive on computer or on desktop
- Format PSP Memory Stick
- Connect the PSP to the PC with the Memory Stick inside via the USB
Connection.
- Use mspformat to format the Memory Stick logically.
(ex:C:Pandora/mspformat/mspformat.exe "psp drive letter" no quotes)
- Remove the Memory Stick and disable the USB connection.
- Connect the Memory Stick again via the USB connection of the PSP.
- Manually create the PSP/GAME (optionally PSP/GAME150) folders on the
Memory Stick.
- Copy the "battery" and "installer" programs to the PSP/GAME
(optionally PSP/GAME150) folder.
- Copy the 1.50, 3.40, 3.71 official updater rename as 150.PBP, 340.PBP, 371.PBP to the root
of the Memory Stick. (This part is in the Universal Unbricker readme so i added it to the
instal to make it easier it will pretty much tell you the same thing.)
- Remove the Memory Stick and disable the USB connection.
- Run "installer" through the firmware on the PSP. This application will create the firmware
files on the root of the Memory Stick, as well as msipl.bin.
- Connect the Memory Stick again via the USB connection of the PSP.
- Execute "msipl" application in command prompt with the msipl.bin to write
the IPL to memory stick.(ex:C:Pandora\msinst\msint.exe"psp drive letter" msipl.bin)
- Remove the Memory Stick and disable the USB connection.
- Execute "battery" application on the PSP to modify the battery follow directions to set
battery in service mode or to turn it back in to a regular battery.
- Congratulation, you are now in posession of a "Magic Memory Stick"
and a "JigKick Battery".
