Open a blank (white) 100x100 palette.

Cut out six 43x39 pixel pieces. Obviously, I used the character's faces.

Copy and paste each onto the palette.

With the last image layer pasted, I Right-click > Merge Down, and repeat the step until the top 3 images are merged to one layer.
Then, Image > Mirror

Right-click > Merge All

Adjust > Sharpness > Unsharp Mask
use something moderately low, like 40-60

Clean up the contrast as you see fit.
You may have an easier time just duplicating this layer once and setting the Blend Mode to Soft Light (adusting the opacity to your satisfaction). If you use this step, make sure to Right-click > Merge Down

FUZZY
set to Lighten @ 100%

Use the Lasso Tool with fairly high feathering (about 30) and fade out the whole bottom of this texture (underneath the lace).

Go back to our background layer (with the merged images on it) and duplicate it.
Drag to top.
Set to Burn @ 30%

Right-click > New Raster Layer
Fill with a medium brown (ex. #af8f79)
Set to Hard Light @ 100%

MIGGY
set to Lighten @ 100%

I took this texture-thing and turned it into a brush. Then, selecting a green-to-red gradient, apply the brush on a New Raster Layer.
I use the Lasso Tool with feathering and work on fading the edges of the brush until it looks soft.

Use the Lasso Tool (1-3 feathering) and outline the diasy.
Copy and paste as a new image. Zoom in and clean it up. We don't want to see any dark (grass) pixels.

Image > Resize
(make sure it's Smart Size)
reduce by 30 percent (you're really just going to have to play with this, but you'll be able to shrink it more later).

Copy and paste onto our icon, making sure it is the current top layer.

Position this layer where you're going to want to keep it. Then duplicate.
Use the Deform Tool to rotate the duplicated layer (so it looks like a different flower, aha). Brighten it with Adjust > Automatic Contrast Enhancement or Adjust > Brightness and Contrast > Clarify.

Return to the first flower layer and duplicate. Use the Deform Tool to rotate and shrink. Place it where you like.
All flower layers are to be set to Normal @ 100% , although I did use the Lasso Tool with some feathering on the smallest flower later on after I applied the text (so you could read it better). If you want to brighten the flowers, go to Adjust > Brightness & Contrast > Clarify or use Curves.

DORKY_DUCK

I copy and paste this as the current top later. Lower its opacity so you can see through it. Now you can better align the bright streak over where we have our brush. Use the Lasso Tool with high feather (33+) and fade down this light texture, saving only the bright streak.

I set this layer to Screen @ 64%

Now it's time for our vector layers!
I start with the capital P, a font called Champignon. I duplicate it and bring its copy layer down to an opacity of 50%.
I add the rest of the word "aradise" in the same font as a seperate vector layer, with a tracking of 1.
Then as a third vector layer in a different font I add "THE ROAD TO" in all caps. I have to duplicate this layer to make it stand out more, but bring its opacity down to 50%

There! That should be it! I hope this tutorial was able to teach something new. ^^;
