Bloodwork yesterday came back at 176!! And she is maintaining her weight at 13.5 lbs. Next step now that we're so close, find out the curves related to her blood sugar during the course of the day. Next Friday she goes in at 8am and stays all day and they do her bloodwork once an hour - and then we lock in her dosage and only have to check once a ( Read more... )

Yesterday there was a stabbing (actually, apparently more of a slashing, but still) at Kelsey's college. I saw something about it come across on Facebook first, then Kelsey texted me and forwarded the email from the school, and then Twitter started to heat up about it. Vet called last night, and said that Pixie continues to be a conundrum. Like last year when we were chasing down possible Cushings Disease, he's not sure what's going on. So Tyler's school, after all the scholarships and such, is going to cost $24,000/year or thereabouts. I have been having panic attacks about how we're going to do this, but I figured I had all summer to work out it. Saturday turned out to be an absolutely unexpected and very relaxing day, and I fully expected Sunday to be great, going with Kelsey down to mom's house to help her set up for upcoming visits from family from Holland, and then we had to run some errands and take Kelsey back to school.  Sounds good right?  Turned out to get more and more stressful ( Read more... )

Took a while, but it seems to have worked.  Now to decide if I'm going to migrate to that one permanently or just stick with LJ and keep this other as a backup.  We'll see.
