Seriously ... ?

I don't know why, but yesterday I watched a bunch of BAD tv. Who the HELL ever thought "Oh this will make a good show" is deranged, and I think I'm worse for WATCHING it.  Let's see - last night included "Toddlers in Tiaras", something like "I live right near the arctic circle and it's hard and cold and kinda sucks so watch me skin animals", a the ( Read more... )

LOL!! Yes it is totally trash TV - I never watched it till I watched Honey Boo Boo, and that was only because I saw that train wreck talked about - I think on FB? - and I had to watch.

It's weird - I watch tv every night just about, but I don't have all that many I really really WANT to watch, to the point that I set the DVR (I HATE live tv LOL)

Here's my list of what IS taped:
- Doctor Who
- Sherlock
- Downton Abbey
- Archer
- The Walking Dead
- Drunk History (OMG that show is SO FREAKING FUNNY - it's fairly new - REALLY well done)
- Hell's Kitchen
- Kitchen Nightmares (kitchen/cooking shows are limited in the house to ones where Glenn doesn't hate the chef(s) - Top Chef/Chopped/etc are DEFINITELY out)
- Sunday Fox 1/2 hr animated shows, although really I mainly like Bob's Burgers at this point
- Game of Thrones
- Grimm
- Once Upon A Time

Usually I'm lying down around 7:30 or so, and the tv is on but I ignore it and read - but it's usually Pawn Stars or those storage unit auction things.

I'm finding that I'm suddenly CRAVING books. Honestly I have not read much since my surgery, or before it - I couldn't concentrate, and to have to reread things you just read the day before to understand where you're at was just depressing. Remember how much we used to read? We'd go to the library in the summer and get 10 books, and read a book a day. I did that for SO LONG - then started to taper off, and never got back into it since my surgery. But just recently, if I could read all day long, there are SO MANY BOOKS I want to read.... =)
