IV round 2
Woke up a little less swollen, but the pain spread a bit to my forehead - and the redness is more. Called the dr, and got an appointment at 10:40am - went in, saw the same woman as yesterday, which was really awesome because I didn't have to explain again, and she could compare with what she saw yesterday.
Told her the story of my experience yesterday and she said that she had to call him about another of her patients yesterday and he was a real jerk to her. She was shocked at his recommendation that I double up on the antibiotics if I felt like it, saying that would have put me on the toilet non-stop with severe diarrhea, and that she is not going to refer people his way anymore.
She sent me to get a CBC to see if my white blood cells are high and get an indication if the meds are helping - and then another IV treatment - then she set me up an appt. for tomorrow morning at 10am for my last IV treatment (I freaking hope - it's SO HARD to type with this thing in the back of my hand!!) and to see the Dr.
And we'll go from there.
No fever, so that's a good sign, and the reduction in swelling is good too - she said she is going the overkill route due to how severe my last one was based on the reports in my file (yikes), and she feels confident we've gotten it in time.
If only the meds would stop my head from hurting. =(
I know it's stupid and a useless waste of energy, but I'm scared. I'm doing my best to not think about any "what ifs".
