Oh my

I really wish I could call in sick today. Starting Weds at the conference in Cincinnati, I started sneezing and my nose started running - sure it was allergies, I started taking my Zyrtec - when I finally got home at 10:30, my throat was SO sore, my head pounding, and I barely slept. Yesterday it blew up with my nose running so much it kept bleeding too, my throat hurting, and my head pounding. Last night I had a sip of bourbon before bed, which made my throat better, but it was a long night of coughing and now my nose is clear, but my head is pounding and my chest feels FULL...my voice sounds like I'm a lifetime smoker...and I keep going between sweating and freezing. I'm thinking this is more of a cold than allergies, which sucks, but is good too because it means when I am done, I am done.

Can't call in sick because two of my team are leaving today, and I need to spend the day going through the projects they've been working on, now that I'm going to have to do their jobs as well as mine and the other 2 open positions I have as well...although one of those fills on June 2nd.  =)

The conference in Cincinnati was awesome - one of the most helpful and insightful ones I've ever been too. Coming home was a bit of a shock...Sunday was Mother's Day, so I was treated to a nice dinner, which made lots of dishes...I was told not to do them because it was Mother's Day. I got on a plane Monday morning, Kelsey moved home Tuesday for a few weeks, I came home Weds at 10:30 at night, and walked into chaos.

Dishes not done.  FROM SUNDAY.

Kelsey came home, and I swear she just EXPLODED everywhere - boxes of stuff in her room, in the computer room, in the kitchen - SEVEN bottles of product in the shower - open any drawer or cabinet in the bathroom and things fall out - how can one person have SO MUCH STUFF??

It's stressing me out, and I keep saying that it's only for 2 weeks...but I have a feeling this weekend is going to be full of organizing - especially as we get ready to redo the kitchen either next week or the week after, which will require we empty everything from the cabinets...

Ugh.

house, allergies, work, sick, kids
