Yesterday in talking about Pixie to two people, both said that they would never do what we're doing, and would put the animal down - one actually did that (a cat, rather than a dog - who was old - an outside/barn cat), and the other went through the treatment with their dog, and based on that would never do it again, and would put the animal down.
They seem to think we're ill-advised (do you know how much money that is?), or selfish (are you just doing that to keep them around for you, don't you think they hate this?). And one of those is more a "dog person" than I am - their dogs are their babies.
I don't think I'll be sharing updates with them.
